Collective Agreement Maternity Pay
You can only get the scholarship if you have been granted maternity leave or if you have resigned because of your pregnancy or adoption. Parents (birth mother, partner or adoptive parents) may have parental leave of at least 37 weeks, which can be shared by both parents. Like maternity leave, six weeks of written notification must be made regarding the start of the leave. For adoptive parents, the share of parental leave can be shared by both parents for up to 37 weeks. If both parents work for the same employer and want parental leave at the same time, this may be subject to the employer`s consent. If you are adopting, please contact teacher Welfare for help. Also complete a leave application and absence report (GC-178) and send it to your supervisor before you start your leave. Your supervisor is responsible for approving your leave request and sending it to the Pay Center through your trusted source under the guise of a payment application form. Once received, a compensation advisor will register your maternity or unpaid parental leave in the system in which your school will apply for the grant via Novopay.
Your employment contract contains more information about the grant. Send your return-to-work contract and leave the application and absence report at Pay Centre. We appreciate and prefer your maternity or parental allowance while you wait for the EI or PQP to confirm your authorization or grant you a first payment. 11.3.1A School justice increases supplementary employment benefits (SEB) to 100% of the teacher`s weekly salary during the period of at least six (6) or CURRENT___ weeks of the health-related maternity leave to 90 (90) calendar days or at the right to sick leave under Article 10. A worker who is entitled to maternity leave takes at least six (6) weeks of leave immediately after the date of birth. The worker may, with the employer`s agreement, reduce this delay by six (6) weeks by providing the employer with a medical certificate certifying that the return to the worker`s full duties does not endanger the health of the worker. Benefits must be maintained for the duration of your leave (16 weeks of maternity and 36 weeks of parental leave). All collective agreements provide that advance/performance bonus plans can be implemented by the employer on behalf of the teacher. The teacher`s benefit is supposed to be reimbursed or reimbursed in advance in case of return to work (see section 11.2 of your collective agreement). In order to return to work, teachers must make their intention in writing for at least four weeks. That is a teacher`s claim. You can rehabilitate at any time during the first year of maternity or parental leave with a written notice of 4 weeks, and headteachers are required to pick you up on the same position or in terms of skills and compensation, comparable and agreed to by a commut.
